Description and Learning Objectives:
This presentation on counseling ethical decision-making aims to equip participants with a holistic understanding of ethical challenges in the counseling profession. Participants will identify and articulate three common ethical dilemmas counselors face, showcasing their comprehension through written explanations. Moving to practical application, a second part of the presentation guides participants in applying the Forester-Miller and Davis (2016) decision-making model to a case study, honing their skills in systematically addressing ethical concerns. Lastly, participants will independently express ethical reflections in a written format, outlining considerations, challenges, and potential solutions to dilemmas presented in a provided case study.
